ANTIQUE HORSE DRAWN JUMP SEAT CARRIAGE BUGGY by J. B. ARMSTRONG & CO..
This is one of those rare vehicles that you definitely won’t see very often. Built prior to 1909 by J. B. Armstrong of Guelph, Canada. Converts from a driver and two passenger configuration to the one single seat by just jumping the main seat over the smaller driver’s seat. This piece was professionally restored several years ago and only had limited use since. It is absolutely gorgeous with the gold pinstripe and trim, engraved solid brass arm rails, patent leather dash and shaft trim. Painted using DuPont Dulux automotive enamel and features a full spring system, heavy duty Sarven wheels with flat rubber, a mechanical foot brake, full side curtains and comes with standard horse size shafts.
Also included is a team pole that was rebuilt using the original hardware, but never painted because we were just driving a single horse. You would need to add a neck yoke for a team.
Upholstery is button tucked vinyl in great shape with no rips or tears, top is in excellent condition, also. This is truly a piece that has to be seen to be appreciated and ready to go for any purpose you choose. Add it to your collection or hitch up your fanciest horse and go win the antique carriage class. You will certainly turn heads with this! Since we no longer drive we’ve decided someone needs to enjoy this piece as much as we have.
