    We offer a mahogany barometer case by Robert Cammack, English (1820-1885) who was active in Ormskirk, England from 1855 until his death in 1885. The case is not a functioning barometer. The glass tube is missing from the back of the case but the pulley and brass plate are intact. The  thermometer is missing from the front neck of the case.
    The case measures 12" wide, 3" deep and 38" in height.
    Provenance
    Provenance Dr. Greenwood and Nina Belle Wooten, Sr, of Austin, Texas. Greenwood was a prominent Austin pharmacist operating Greenwood Pharmacy for thirty years. He was also a member of a pioneer Austin family. His grandfather had been instrumental in establishing the University of Texas at Austin and served on the first Board of Regents as did Greenwood's father.
