MASONIC 0 E S, 2.75" round, "THE ORDER OF THE EASTERN STAR" auto emblem with a pressure sensitive adhesive back for mounting on your auto
    .
I have owned this emblem for the past 40+ years and have now decided it was time to pass its ownership along to someone else to appreciate, collect and/or mount on their automobile.
For your further review and consideration I have copied and pasted the below brief synopsis regarding the Order of the Eastern Star organization and what the emblem represents.
"The Order of the Eastern Star is a Masonic appendant body open to both men and women.  It was established in 1850 by lawyer and educator Rob Morris, a noted Freemason, but was only adopted and approved as an appendant body of the Masonic Fraternity in 1873.  The order is based on some teachings from the Bible, but is open to people of all religious beliefs.  It has approximately 10,000 chapters in twenty countries and approximately 500,000 members under its General Grand Chapter.
Members of the Order of the Eastern Star are aged 18 and older; men must be Master Masons and women must have specific relationships with Masons.  Originally, a woman would have to be the daughter, widow, wife, sister, or mother of a Master Mason, but the Order now allows other relatives as well as allowing Job's Daughters, Rainbow Girls, Members of the Organization of Triangles (NY only) and members of the Constellation of Junior Stars (NY only) to become members when of age".
    Emblem and Heroines
"The emblem of the Order is a five-pointed star with the white ray of the star pointing downwards towards the manger.  The meaning of the letters FATAL surrounding the center pentagon in the emblem is only revealed to members of the Order.  In the Chapter room, the downward-pointing white ray points to the West.  The character-building lessons taught in the Order are stories inspired by Biblical figures:"
Adah (Jephthah's daughter), from the Book of Judges.  In Eastern Star, Adah is represented by the color blue and a sword and veil.  Adah represents the virtue of obedience to duty.
Ruth, the widow from the Book of Ruth.  In Eastern Star, Ruth is represented by the color yellow and a sheaf of barley.  Ruth represents the virtue of religious principles.
Esther, the wife from the Book of Esther.  In Eastern Star, Esther is represented by the color white and a crown and scepter. Esther represents the virtue of loyalty.
Martha, sister of Mary and Lazarus from the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of John.  In Eastern Star, Martha is represented by the color green and a broken column. Martha represents the virtue of endurance in trial.
Electa (the "elect lady" from II John), the mother.  In Eastern Star, Electa is represented by the color red and a chalice.  Electa represents the virtue of endurance of persecution.
Please note; I came across numerous other vintage stickers while going through storage boxes.  I had dozens of old advertisement, political, government and/or commercial stickers that date from the 1960's up to the early 2000's.  My collection consisted of anything and everything, if it "peeled and stuck" on something, I collected it...  To that end; I will be listing a little at a time until these stickers are all sold.  If you collect vintage vinyl stickers, please take a moment to look at what other stickers I may currently have listed.  Of course, I combine shipping on multiple purchases so long as everything can ship within the same envelope/box.
The Masonic Order of the Eastern Star auto emblem sticker is very colorful featuring six different colors; gold, yellow, blue, red, green and white.  The round emblem is made out of plastic and measures approximately 2.75" in diameter.  The emblem sticker has NEVER BEEN PEELED and remains with the original factory packaging.  Inasmuch, since the backing has never been removed and the emblem remains in the original packaging I am considering the piece vintage new old stock (NOS).  Please refer to the description photos to confirm the condition of the Masonic auto emblem sticker and for more details about what I have described.
The emblem is in remarkably excellent condition considering it is in excess of 45+ years old and has never been peeled.  The front may have some areas of extremely small and very minor surface blemishes from storage over the past decades but no damage as can be easily verified in the description photos.  This emblem has been stored inside a box alongside the other stickers I have collected since the mid-1960's.  I am certain any Freemason member; enthusiast and/or memorabilia collector would appreciate owning this piece.
Please refer to the description photos to confirm the condition of the Masonic auto emblem sticker and for more details about what I have described.
The cardboard packaging the emblem came into my possession with has the lower left corner cut off.  Since this was received like this I have no knowledge as to why it was cut off and removed.  Possibly it was done to remove the original retail price tag?  The cardboard packaging remains in good condition and all the printed graphics are clear and legible.
Please refer to the description photos to confirm the condition of the Masonic auto emblem sticker and for more details about what I have described.
Please look at the description photos closely as they accurately depict the Masonic auto emblem sticker I describe and show exactly what you will receive if you purchase this piece.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding the auto emblem or would like additional photos of a particular area on the piece, please email me and I will respond ASAP.
